Kenakena School has a number of ways to let us know your child is going to be absent or late to school.

Send an email to office1@kenakena.school.nz

International Students Text +64 027 7818315 before the start of school with the student name and reason for absence.

If you have not contacted the school by 9:10am we will text you to check on your child’s absence.

If a child is late to school, then the child must report to the office.

Please be advised that if no notification is received at school your child will be marked as absent.

The school is not allowed to authorise absence during term time, unless in exceptional circumstances. If you feel that absence from school in term time is unavoidable, please contact the school office for an Application for Special Leave of Absence in Term Time or click here to download the form.
