Future Choices

Future Choices

Future Choices is an exciting and inspiring programme for Year 8 girls, designed to build self-esteem, confidence and self-belief so that they can make safe and healthy decisions as they grow into young women.

There is a strong focus on social skills (including, communication, helping others and being part of a team) and on building self-recognition of individual talents and strengths. Our girls are also encouraged in their leadership development.

Each learning session has a different focus and there is always a strong element of practical activity, fun, sharing and student voice. Guest speakers and instructors are utilized in the programme, which covers friendship, the media, health issues, cyber-safety.

Future Choices’ Physical activities include boxing skills, dancing and Zumba. Our girls really enjoy the programme’s craft activities, which include Zentangle, paper craft, wool craft and jewellery making.

A mother and daughter evening and father and daughter lunch are highlights of the programme. Future choices runs in Term 3 annually.
